Has anyone noticed that about two weeks ago Robert Peston was self isolating due to his partner having symptoms of the virus. He continued reporting from his makeshift studio in his house in N. London.
A few days ago he reappeared in the ITV News at Ten studio and I assumed he had completed his 14 day quarantine. Last night I noticed that he was back in his study and reporting from home.
Does any one know what happened and what his current status is?

Guidance is to work from home if you can. Last night maybe he could, whereas a few days ago maybe he couldn't (or should have).
Perhaps he made an unnecessary journey to the ITN studio?

I do hope didlydo doesn't find out.

Thanks for your answers. Lol at Roy's post . Just wondered if either he or his partner may of had a relapse ( if that can happen. Who knows?)
Nothing on his twitter feed.

It seems relapses are possible. See:

That's not very encouraging Ellipsis. Just as you thought you were out of the woods and bomb proof and all that and you cop another dose. :-(
a relapse ie you never really get over the first infection is not the same as a reactivation ie virus in your body makes you ill again and different again from a second infection ie you have no immunity and catch it again. I have got a friend who was slow to recover and kept getting bad days after she was better because the silly girl would not rest properly.
quite possibly he was asked to come into the studio for some reason (to pick up his pay packet or something) but normally works from home.
Maybe it (the studio) was a green screen backdrop.
He's back in the studio right now!
Can't stand his tortured, stilted delivery - have to change channel when he appears. Compare with the clarity and eloquence of his colleague on ITV News, the Business Editor Joel Hills.
i hope he and his partner are safe, as he lost his first wife to lung cancer, that would be just too cruel to have it happen again.
