A supermarket in Leek has officially banned a cat which often appears there, sleeping at the entrance or in the foyer itself.

When a concerned customer enquired about rumours to this effect, the store's Customer Service Team confirmed that it was the case but the cat did not appear to be taking the ban seriously.

Gave me a chuckle anyway :-)

My cat never takes "no", "don't do that", "stop it" etc seriously.

A closed door is a challenge; an opened door is ignored until you close it.

Cats are devious, manipulative little gods. Mine has devoted his closing years to getting on Mr Bm's nerves. It's hilarious.

Having owned 4 cats over the years, (we daren’t get another as it would outlive us!), none of them would conform. All we could expect was that as we kept them fed, watered and warm, they would do exactly as they liked!

Yes! but there was a good reason behind it !
Once 'banned' he could then be 'arrested' and removed to a ' Place of safety ! , in this case a home for abandoned cats ! The cats home has found him carefull loveing ,new owners !

Wolf thanks for that link, it's lovely. All black and white cats as well. Reminded me of my Bobbie who died recently as you may remember, who was B&W and very sweet and loving.

Eddie - these cats have loving homes. They are loved by many others too. They are just very sociable and spend their days interacting with people instead of other 'cat stuff'.

LB - cats may not be 'man's best friend' but the are loving, lovable and entertaining. My cats have all been Tuxedo cats.
