As heard on the news headlines, John Torode accidentally set fire to a tea-towel this morning while cooking muffins on live TV. He calmly placed the tea-towel in the sink and carried on.

I guess I was surprised that on the two minutes news headlines at noon on BBC's Radio 4, space was given to John Torode's tea towel. Maybe this was in response to people complaining the real news is too depressing, who knows, but for me it's the thin end of the wedge ...
