I have a friend who says he would hate for CPR t be performed on him because he believes he would end up with broken ribs, or something. don't think i'll send him this :-)))

It's hard to break someone's ribs unless they are fragile to start with. Or like me you put your weight behind it....

I did perform CPR on an old lady once who had stopped breathing. She survived but I broke most of her ribs. The casualty officer in A&E was not impressed. The worst thought in the back of your mind is that the casualty sometimes vomits as they regain consciousness. Our instructor just said,'Swallow it and keep Blowing"
