yes I take their point but it is an irony when we have lost 9 out of the last 10 shoot outs!

In short, they bottle it on the big occasions. There is so much pressure associated with England and penalty shoot outs it adds another layer of stress on top of what would be there anyway.

Two of the shootout losses of the ones I remember were due to frankly awful penalties by Waddle (90) and Southgate (96).

In any case we have a 100% win record of the last two shootouts we were involved in so maybe the tide has turned.. Hopefully.

And what was Southgate doing taking the 6th. I recall screaming at Paul Ince who you would have thought was the more likely taker.
