On 25th March I posted on Naomis thread about the virus

I replied:
Apc2604Very interesting. Both OH and I were ill in January with flu like symptoms, temperatures and sorethroats. He had a dreadful dry cough. I had a cough and then a chest infection. i am still getting sore throats and nasal problems.
As Robinia said, if we had symptoms like that now we would think it was Corona Virus. Actually OH ended up in A&E (sent by 111) because his whole body came up in a nasty rash. The doctors found nothing significant and said it was a reaction to the illness and this sometimes happens. A&E was packed with people coughing!
And today this is in the news and I am more convinced!

'Was the virus in France last year?
The number of new recorded deaths is the lowest since late March, when only deaths in hospitals were being recorded. The new figures include deaths in care homes and have been declining for several days.
Meanwhile, an intensive care chief in the Paris region has told local media that the virus was present in France on 27 December - a month before the first cases were confirmed.
Yves Cohen told broadcaster BFMTV that his team had revisited negative tests for flu and other coronaviruses on 24 patients who had been in hospital with respiratory symptoms in December and January.
"Of the 24 patients, we had one positive result for Covid-19 on 27 December when he was in hospital with us," he said, adding that the test had been repeated several times to confirm the result.
Dr Cohen said he had reported the case to the regional health authorities and called for other negative tests from the same period to be re-examined.'

I was surprised to get my yearly Bronchitis in Oct '19 instead of the usual Nov. After that I had nothing but persistent chest infections, one after a visit to the chemist and another, just because a man fitting my new garage door happened to sneeze near me!
I've not noticed much of a temperature, but I'm naturally VERY hot blooded, so if I suddenly get hotter, I put it down to wearing too thick a top, take it off or sit on my back doorstep for a while to cool down.
However, I have had an inexplicable, persistent thick red rash all over the back of my neck for 2 weeks now.
I put myself in lockdown to stop any more chest infections, but didn't know about the rash symptom, so maybe it stores itself in the body, ready to re-emerge when you're a bit run down? I know that I am, since I've suddenly started with cold sores.
Unfortunately it also means that some form of this virus has been around since at least the last quarter of 2019.
There are a quantity of people living near me, including friends I visited before Nov '19 who have all reported 'flu-like' symptoms and rashes - and the fatigue! Thought it was because I wasn't taking enough Gabapentin at the time.
