Thinking About Going To Gamblers Annoymous
18 Answers
I am thinking about going to gamblers annonmyous i gamble about 60% of my income and I am £6500 in debt. I pawn things so I can gamble and then buy them back and then pawn them again. But I feel trapped I am frightened if I stop my numbers will come up I pick the same numbers 21 and 36 hotpicks 2 and if come up you get £40 so I put on at least25 lines at a time so if they did come up I would win £1000. But I cant afford a holiday and I end up in the dark sometimes as I have a prepayment meter so I seriously now want to stop its getting over the fear of what if they come out and wondering what the first meeting of GA will be like and do I need to go? so many questions. ???!!!!

Now take the second step by telling another stranger about it. Pick up the phone and call GamCare:
http:// www.gam care.or g.uk/
NB: That doesn't have to be instead of contacting GA. The phone call might help to give you the confidence to go along to a GA meeting (and/or offer other support).

so if they did come up I would win £1000.
So lets say it does come up, you win £1000 But what are the odds of them comming up again after that ?
A £1000 win isn't really going to help is it? It is more likely that you will think you are going to get on a roll (Which rarely happens)
Don't think about going to G.A... Do It!

Exactly the same as they were before.
Gordie; You've made the first step, now take the second, it's a mug's game, get yourself clear of it, and start paying off your debts properly. Good luck!

Like every other addiction you think life will not be great with out it .Assure you it will and your biggest win will be getting your confidence back .I would think losing at gambling is a way of losing you self confidence , so remember you are better than this ..So like others have said you have made the biggest decision by saying yes I want help from others and when you turn this around you have won the biggest bet of you life ,that you got your life back and far better it will be too .Thats my opinion but the bottom line is I wish you every success .Go do what you know will help. Good luck you can do it
