When this c19 stuff is over in about a years time have an election . this would be a referendum on how the polititions dealt with it . was it lies or ineptness that we were fed . When we should have had a strong leadership we were fobbed off and are being fobbed off still . Ok Tory voters will laugh at this suggestion but wouldn’t they like to know how the people feel on how it was dealt with . Wouldn’t it be interesting to see the new manifesto .cant blame Jeremy now .

No as we have no idea how any other government would have handled this crisis. Perhaps others would have done better or not as well. We will never know.
you seem to know already....
Sounds of desperation there weecalf. I can't remember offhand when it's due, but whenever it is that should be when the next election is held.
If there was another election now, Boris would increase his majority.

No party politics the party in power we’re not up to it ,maybe the opposition would have done no better but the people should have their opinion .If the Tory’s are returned the they can say they are the best to lead the country as they did during the crisis if they don’t win maybe we will hear some admissions on how they dealt with it .
I think Hopkirk's right. Bojo's brush with death has made him even more popular, while SKS is still too new to be able to turn around the ill will Corbyn helped create towards Labour.
I worry about the results of the next election. Boris has led us through one of the most difficult times in our history and, wrongly, is likely to get the blame for the hardships yet to come. Add that to the fact that a lot of his votes were lent to him by Labour voters, he could find that his majority is not as safe as it looks, particularly if some Tory voters assume the result will be a given and don't stir themselves to go to the polling stations.
Jesus Christ.
It'll be like a merry-go-round. Taxes are going to be painful over the next 5 years, as are cuts to services, not the fault of whichever government had gained power, just the cost of all this Covid pandemic. Voters may then blame Boris at the ballot box, let in a politician that has a Marvellous Magic Money Tree, they'll spend money we haven't got, them we'll start all over again.

I think the government responded very well to the pandemic. That's my opinion, I know there are those that don't agree.
No. There's a strong case for a public enquiry -- not really to establish blame but to address any weaknesses and improve our response strategy for next time -- but that's about it.
Any opportunity.
The simple answer is that Boris did not lock down soon enough, even though warnings were coming from other countries, that's when the rot set in, as for going round shaking hands and telling the UK there was nothing to be alarmed about, as the NHS was well prepared for any such problem. ???
