Barcelona Hotel for a short stay

Anybody suggest a good 3 or 4 star hotel for a weeks stay in October.

Just got back from Barca a few hours ago. Stayed at the Gran Hotel Havanna - they have 3 nights for two deals at the moment. Very nice, well equipped modern hotel, if a bit business like hotel in a great location.

We stayed at the Hotel Royal. Decent hotel with a good breakfast room, and a good restaurant and grill for lunch or evenings. It's located on Las Ramblas, basically in the centre of everything. Choose rooms of Las Ramblas, or if you prefer cheaper rooms are around the back and sides. Rooms are comfortable and modern, and the bathroom is very good and clean. (And i'm very particular about bathrooms, and was impressed by this one)! If you're renting a car/driving down there, they have a large private garage under the building for guests.

went to Barca and stayed in Catalonia Barcelona Plaza Hotel (4 star) last november. it's situated in the Plaza Espana and travel is easy to tourist attractions such as nou camp.
the hotel was impressive, served good meals and was v.clean.

Stayed in a place called the Hotel Jazz at New Year. Nice and modern, helpful and friendly staff. It's only two minutes from the place de Catalunya and is situated in the Golden triangle with all the best shops, bars and restaurants not far away. It also has a rooftop pool - bit too cold in january, might be alright in October.
