I am looking into buying a home in the next year and am able to use some lunchtimes at work to research the options. Does anyone know, from experience or otherwise, a good website with a nice range of properties?

i found my house on www.rightmove.co.uk

The best site for homes on the net in my opinion!
www.fish4.co.uk/iad/homes

quite a good site.
i found remax very good
In the same boat!

www.rightmove.co.uk is a good web site that loads of estate agents use (piece of triva costs them 188 a month to use the service). www.yourmove.co.uk is the largest independent site, but as its only one estate agent so the choice is not as good as right move.
this ones quite good at researching if you know the area :

This is a good site :

http://www.houseprices.co.uk/

To check the prices of houses sold in road/area
I would highly recommend NetMovers - http://www.netmovers.net

They worked for me.

Rightmove seems to have worked best for me so far. I haven't come across other sites with the same range of properties. Thanks for the suggestions though.
There are many real estate agents website which consists of information about different properties in a area. However it will be better idea to look for the website which provides the information about the properties in your area. There will be real estate listings in the real estate agent websites. It will be consisting of all the information about the property including features, price, contact information of seller etc. I found this site http://housingintucson.com/, it provides information about properties in Tucson region.
