To be fair, bednobs, I don't know anyone else who's been ill apart from one colleague in the same office who was ill before me.

My husband does all the shopping, so I rarely come into contact with the general public.

I sort of meant everybody when I said "you" as well - it must be difficult to realise after that you have had it. My friend who does admin for the NHS had CV, but the week previously, before she felt ill had been roped into letting student nurses practice practical skills on her, and then felt so guilty when she realised she probably infected them too
