Is anyone else having this 'What day is it' problem? Surely it's not just me.

I'm struggling, Tilly. But to help yesterday was bank holiday Monday on a friday.
I’ve thought it was Sunday all day today until I realised no one has put their bins out for collection tomorrow.
There again, I though it was Saturday last Wednesday.
>>> Is anyone else having this 'What day is it' problem?

I have it several times every week. It's nothing new since Covid-19 happened. It's just that, being retired and with every day being much like both the previous one and the next one anyway, I simply lose track of what day it is. So the 'hovering the mouse over the clock' thing is something that I routinely do every few days, just to check that I'm still 'on the right day'.

Now you're really complicating things, Vagus. I also tend to use 'bin day' as a reference point, so that I know where in the week I am. That's fine as long as there's not a bank holiday in the week though, as that puts our bin collections back by a day.

Like you, our bins are collected on Mondays (or on a Tuesday when there's a bank holiday on the Monday) but, since we've just had a bank holiday on a Friday, I don't know whether 'bin day' will be Monday or Tuesday in the coming week. That's really going to throw me out!
I get like that at times, Tilly. The last few Fridays, I believed it was a Saturday.
I can't remember how it's done but you can change the settings on your computer (well, it worked on my laptop) and it will show you what day of the week it is, together with the date, in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

I find it very helpful to be able to see it at a glance.
I’m glad the Husband is up with the bins and recycling. I haven’t got a clue. I just put them out when he says so.
Sorry, I should have mentioned - you can see the actual day as well as the date all the time, without having to hover the cursor over it.
Our bins are collected on the same day regardless of bank holidays, I thought everyone’s were, so that’s interesting. Mildly.
Anyhow, back to basics...what day is it tomorrow?

I wish. Once in three weeks/month is a miracle here.
That's the Labour Party and the Greens for you.

Now I'm back on track. Sunday today.

I think it was that Friday Bank Holiday that threw me out of kilter.
I thought it was Sunday all day yesterday
You don't need to change any settings on your computer; just float your cursor over the date in the bottom corner and the day will be displayed.
//Tuesday//
you're bound to be right once a week Mamya

How could I have not known it was Saturday yesterday, when I spent most of the day doing the Guardian crossword?

How odd is that?
