After weeks of sleepless nights, waking up with the shakes, bad headaches, hot sweats, and just to get through the day has been a nightmare, but managed on my own without rehab. I have kicked the habit of needing any more Greggs sausage rolls.

very sorry to hear that, 237SJ. It comes to all of us, I suppose, but it's unpleasant when it's premature and involuntary. I don't know what the shape of aviation will be in years to come, so I suppose there's some hope. In the meantime, if you had any long-term projects in the back of your mind for your retirement, summon them up: it's good to have something to focus on.

I loved my work but when it ended it was my decision and the time was right. Had I had to stop because of this virus I'd have been heartbroken.

I rarely eat fast food, but I wouldn't say never. I never eat Pizza, Curry or chicken. I might eat 3 or 4 MacDonalds in a year but only when on holiday. Not keen on Greggs' stuff. Every time I've had a pie or something from there, they're quite tasteless. But that's just me. Lots like it so hey ho!
