Was I right to let my children watch these programs?

The Radio Times has published the 50 shows that top the list of shame.
Number 8 was Thomas the Tank Engine which " portarys a workplace riven by class envy and where bitching, brown nosing and back stabbing our the norm "
Family Fortunes is number 31, Heart beat 38 and worse of all Flog It at number 49.
These top fifty shows are said to be the worse TV shows of all time. And letting your children watch the Edingburgh Tattoo at number 28 is definetly not on.
No wonder my kids turned out to be normal. I will never forgive myself.
What shows do you or your kids watch that qualify for this infamous Hall of Fame? Rgds Al
PS Will anyone chip in to get Tom and Jerry some nicotine patches?

It was on late at night just before I went to bed. I was channel hopping and came across this programme with a jungle theme and all these naked people galivanting about leaving nothing to the imagination!!! The camera angles were interesting to say the least. There was a voice over that I was trying to recognise when I suddenly realised it was Keith Chegwin. I was just thinking Noooooo please Nooooo!!! when suddenly he was on screen in all his glory (for want of a better word. To say I was gobsmacked was an understatement. I could't believe I was watching it on my own with nobody to confirm what I was seeing.
Hi Nosey, Saw that. Not a pretty sight.
I was amazed at some of the programs in the list though, especially Love Thy Neighbour. People said it was racist and it was with the white neighbour coming out worse each time. And what the h@@@ is wrong with Heartbeat. Dont like it myself but how does it shame TV?

At the risk of getting shouted down, Big Brother should definately be on that list. I think children (large and small) should be stopped from watching that! Also add to the list, Love Island and X Factor. All of these programmes are full of people showing emotional extremes and isn't the escapism that TV ought to be.
