I am right handed but my left foot is dominant. When I am digging I use my left foot. Is that typical?

piggy ".....some people call me a left footer." Are you quite sure you haven't misheard them? :-)))
I never thought about it before but when digging I do use my left foot for jabbing the spade into tough soil... using my right leg for balance and stability , I'm right footed and right handed but when kicking a football, I trained to use both feet but a penalty or free kick I use my right leg for accuracy and left as the standing leg.
14.02 ken 4155. Its a derogatory term for catholic.
I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
It'd cost you an arm and a leg though.

According to my mum, I'm 'caggy' - meaning I do certain things with the wrong hand. I write with my right, but deal cards with my left, and even fan them the wrong way and consequently hold them upside down. I use a snooker cue with the wrong hand, and attempt to hold a gun to my left shoulder rather than my right. Fortunately there's always someone around to point out the error of my ways in that instance. I've even been known to transpose piano scores, playing the right hand with the left and vice versa producing a result no one would ever want to listen to. Chopin it ain't! Can't say whether I'm left or right footed - I can't remember ever kicking anything - well, not on purpose anyway.
But you throw pies with your right hand...
Haaaaa! Always!!
I've just tried kicking something. Right handed and right footed.
Snooker cues, cards, guns.

Not in the Mob are you, Naoml?
Haha! Wotchit!
