When we left France I was so upset to think that maybe we wouldn't see them soaring above, so it is wonderful to hear and see them now.
My prize goes to a young cock blackbird who dive-bombed me earlier in the year (when his mate was evidently sitting) by who, yesterday, pulled a worm out of the garden and ate it contentedly whilst not 3ft. from where I was planting lettuces! He is now trying to attack our mongrel terrier - who hasn't really noticed him!
