So there's probably much more to it than just breasts (still talking about birds here). claws, heads, intestines and I'm sure they didn't just throw away the stuff the bird ate just before it was stroked to death. question answered? And no, you are not the only one.
Well, if you want to know the gory details, here they are [this, incidentally, applies to all cheap cihcken products like bad nuggets and burgers and stuff, McDonalds are far from alone.] After cutting off the normal cuts of meat like the breast, legs and wings, you are left with a carcass. All the remaining meat on it is obtained either by blasting it off with water, or, more commonly now, squashing the carcass against a fine mesh. the meat exudes out of the other side like a pasteand is scraped off and turned into nuggets (and things like 'lamb flavoured steakets or whateverthey want to call them... if you look at the ingredients those are flavoured with lamb fat and heats but all the meat if chicken). Revolting. But chicken nuggets taste so good.
I have just been into McDonalds - I asked the chap who served me what used to be in the chicken nuggets - he said "everything" - his manager was standing behind him, and he joined in by saying that it used to be "processed" chicken. I agree that McDonalds are by no means the only company who use/used meat other than breast meat in their chicken nuggets, but I also agree with roxy that it is a very stupid advertising campaign!
