Am I allowed to do a bit of privateering in my charter boat naomi. Although you have stated the UK ,if my chartered boat was used for sailing the East coast, would it be that awful if I miscalculated tides and wind and just happened to end up in the Fresian Isles by errrr accident?
Margie/237SJ, I really don’t know. I was rather hoping someone here could point me towards something a bit different. We travel the country fairly regularly - and actually I think those who don’t know this country well miss an awful lot. It really does have so much to offer. Whenever I go somewhere new I’m always amazed at the history that just pops up at me. Everywhere is so interesting.
Retrocop’s idea of chartering a yacht and sailing around the coast is tempting. We’ve done it abroad but never here so that might be a consideration.
There are so many great places to visit in the UK. Norfolk, Dorset, Devon, Northumberland, Dumfries & Galloway, Shropshire, Derbyshire.
Avoid the places everyone goes would be my advice.
If you sail, the round the coast trip sounds great.
I fancy Northumberland, just to see the scenery that I saw on Vera. I still very much doubt we'll get away anywhere this year though, especially if there is social distancing in pubs and restaurants etc. I just don't feel the experience will be worth the expense.
Rocky a holiday park that we go to ( all log cabins) and very rural is a perfect point for vis places like Druridge Bay and the places you see in the series , it’s called Fellmore Park, opens up for business beginning of July , there’s no kids clubs or pools , anything like that and a lot of people live there having sold their property and opted for the rural quiet life .
