Soooo, on one side we have a single guy who moved in 6 months ago. Never hear a peep out of him. Lovely man. Other side......lovely couple in their late 60’S. They have a son in his 40’s who has some kind of disability and will never leave home. He loves music, and spends nearly all day in garden either singing or dancing, playing banjo, tambourine, anything!! You can’t have a conversation outside or even talk properly. Then they also have another son who is an ex drug addict, who spend all day on his mobile phone in garden to god knows who but he talks so loudly I could recite every word of every conversation.
Thanks Barsel, another reason for moving is schools for Little Tiggs. There is a very good school in the area i want to move to and also its much greener and nearer to Kent and the South :o)
We live in a street of three story terraces. To the left: couple with a 1 year old child. To the right: couple with a 1 year old child. Either side of each of them: couples, each with two children under 4. In the middle of it all: us, with two children under 6 and another on the way. Surpringly quiet or maybe we are all just so sleep deprived and permanently knackered we have become numb to the screaming.
I live in a small block of nine flats, a fair mix of neighbours from a wide age range - currently we all get along very well and help each other where we can.
We live in the middle of a field. The field to our right is much larger than ours and has two houses in it. One a holiday home for folk in the next county so we rarely see them. Our doctor lives at the top of the field. Only see him in the surgery and met his wife and daughter for the first time yesterday.....so that's a quiet field.
The one to our left is occasionally noisy but only when the three occupants need milking.....or the vet appears.
I love the quiet and the privacy. I'd struggle I think if I had to move closer to people now.
