I have been asked by a non-techie friend to track replacement batteries for his drill. This is a minefield for me. I understand that originals are very expensive (he needs two) and there are a lot of compatibles on the market.
Are these any good? I would really like advice as to where to buy them from as everywhere I look seems to have more than a fair share of bad reviews.
If it helps the battery is a V28, 3000A with model number 48-11-2850
I thought I had found the ideal place yesterday and bought two, the payment was immediately refunded without explanation.

I don't know how much the ones that you ordered were but these are pretty pricey. https://www.batteryupgrade.co.uk/shopBrowser.php?assortmentProductId=39725510

Another here....a bit cheaper. I notice that on Amazon this product is "currently unavailable" and not known when it will be back in stock.

Thank you, Togo, the compatibles I ordered were around £65 each. I like the look of the company in your first link.
Same here. The second place is hard to get any definite info on but they take Paypal so are presumably kosher.
I think, Barry, that seeing as you are getting them for a pal and therefor perhaps not paying.......I would be going with the first company. Shame that Amazon can no longer supply these and e bay is a last resort for me. I have somewhere in the back of my mind a nagging feeling that I have seen somewhere else on here a thread regarding these batteries and them being very difficult to source.

I never have any problems dealing with Amazon, they are very good accepting returns and issue refunds quickly so it's not so risky. eBay would be a last for me for anything electrical. I'll show the page to my friend and see what he thinks. I've just noticed this is a Dutch company so now I'm hesitant. Heavy batteries could be difficult and expensive to return
Ta Barry. I think that I would go for it, and order from the first link. There is even free shipping with that price. You may struggle to find other reliable sources I think.
