Wedding Gift To Take To France

We shall be attending a wedding in Paris in September, the daughter of a very old friend. She is already living with the person she will be marrying, and has a baby daughter, and so therefore has most household stuff, etc. My husband and I were trying to think of a gift to take for them, not too large or heavy, and not expensive but which would be traditionally British and something which they would not necessarily have had otherwise. We visit our friends every couple of years, and always take cheese, beer, bacon, chocolate and biscuits, which they love but would like something different as a wedding present.
Any original suggestions?

candles, proper fancy ornate ones, unique hand made designer ones that you could have their initials carved into,

For unusual gifts I buy trees through the Woodland Trust. One year I bought everyone a square foot of English land....can't recall the organisation. Think it was to buy enough bits of land to stop Tesco owning everything.

Welsh love spoons are very beautiful. You can have one custom made with their names, date etc.

Love the idea of a Welsh love spoon - we have one I bought in Wales to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, so that is a distinct possibility.
Tea pot - not too sure about that for the simple reason that whenever we are in France, my husband is served his cup of tea with a tea bag dangling over the rim of the cup! I never touch tea, cannot stand it.
I shall be investigating the other suggestions as well, so thank you for the answers, and looking forward to reading more.

We shall be travelling over on Eurostar and will have to carry our luggage as well, so the carrying of 6 or 12 bottles is just not viable. Good idea though.
