What is the best thing about living in Switzerland?

I've spent some time in Switzerland over the years and I can see the attraction. The clean, unpolluted air is a great asset these days. Looking for a job? You can expect your annual salary to be at least twice of what it it is other European countries. I met quite a few university professors on €500,000 a year.

Health care is all via private health insurance but most of the time you can see a consultant the same week. Like walking? I doubt you'll find a more picturesque country as long as you like hills and mountains. Most people can speak two languages from English, French, German and Italian but my experience is that more seem to speak English these days than the others.

Protests are going over the death of George Floyd, DTCwordfan, in Zurich and elsewhere. There have also been protests about the Covid-19 lockdown in many Swiss cities including Berne. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

My apologies DTCwordfan. You're absolutely right. I've not been down to Grisons so that may explain my unfamiliarity as I've never heard it spoken. Skiing is a no-no at my age!
