Stripping Wallpaper

Hi, One of my rooms is in need of decorating badly. The thing is, the wallpaper has been painted over and I am not sure if there is wallpaper underneath the top one ? any homemade soloutions how to get the paper off easily?? Ta

A bowl of hot soapy water, washing up liquid will do. You`ll have to put slits in the paper with a sharp knife to get the water to soak in . Use a sponge and a wallpaper scraper.After you get the first piece off it will be easier.
