Peaceful Protest? This Is A Peaceful Protest
Nothing Peaceful at all about the protesters who come out as a mob over the last two weeks for a unnecessary death that occurred 4,000 miles away. It's a travesty to describe any of them as peaceful.
Here is what a peaceful protest is. Every man who actually served and defended their country and are of value and worth. They behaved with dignity, discipline and respect.
They descended on Parliament Square and used their democcratic right to protest. They were like ghosts. When they had made their point like decent, human, valuable members of society they left London as they found it. No Londoners knew they had visited and no squads of cleaners were employed to erase crimiinal damaged statues, burnt union flags and clear up all the filth that only filth can leave behind them.
Perhaps these gentleman would like a recall to the next 'peaceful protest' by BLM.They could surround the cenotaph and dish out a few lessons in gratitude , dignity and respect.

The UK protests were mostly peaceful (unlike the US ones). There was no rioting or looting.
The toppling of a statue is symbolic rather than violent. The world rejoiced when Saddam’s statue was pulled down, same for the Soviet oppressors.

The amount of publicity the toppling in Bristol has got will only encourage more of the same. Your outrage is actively fuelling the destruction of other effigies of dubious historical characters.

Gromit. I believe there were about 35 police officers injured. Two seriously.
There were no injuries when these gentlemen made a peaceful protest. No horses were deployed, let alone injured. No criminal damage and what is more. These Gentlemen won their cause by doing the job properly and legally.
What little sympathy I had for BLM is now zilch as a result of their methods. They have a lot to learn about silent and peaceful protest. It usually wins through whereas this BLM mob will end up a proscribed organisation if they carry on with their anarchy. That is if the Home Office have the will and resolve. They certainly proscribe other groups who have caused a load less injury and damage with their marches and rallys.

I get where they are coming from. The racism in the UK, whilst not being so openly violent as it is in the US, is still pretty rife. There was a petition to remove the statue from Bristol and nothing happened. There comes a point where something more extreme has to be done and now Sadiq Khan is looking at removing all slavery related statues from London. It's a shame that our country is still so divided that this is even an issue.

I don't believe it is within his remit to arbitarily remove statues and other historical aretefacts just to appease his left wing buddies. He is just like ISIS and Taliban who blow up ancient buildings going back to biblical times. Is Mayor Khan following his other muslim friends perverse doctrine in the Middle East.
Any how. If you wish to discuss the Bristol statue I can inform you that it was petitioned amongst the Bristlolian populace and the vote to retain it was a majority albeit a narrow one. That is known as democracy and normally works in a civilised society unless there is an agenda to change it.
Mr Colston provided many advantages to Bristol including hospitals, orphanages and almshouses. I doubt ,if any hospitals , which Colston financed, have a colour bar for whom they treat. Do you? Unless of course they have been destroyed by mob vandalism.

When, now? Or at the time he funded them? Colston constituted his charities to deny their benefits to those who did not share his religious and political views. That would include black people, obviously, unless they were treated so they could be put back to work.
The hospitals' attitudes have moved on. Colston, unfortunately for him, does not have that opportunity. A statue glorifying him and his attitudes was therefore an affront but, as I've said elsewhere, it should have been allowed to stand until taken down in the proper way ... because, while it stood, it was testimony to the fact that some attitudes have not moved on.

I think to be fair the BLM demonstrations were hijacked by the far left. Antifa and momentum bus in these anarchists because their aim is to remove the Police and any other civil authority.
It's a shame for BLM, just as it is a shame for other protests that get these pond lives attaching themselves to their cause even though it is doubtful they know anything about it or care about it.
Then of course you do have the useful idiots like th eone who defaced Winston. Gee, if that guy went to school then his teachers should hang their heads in shame.

BLM ,according to US law authorities including Homeland Security, are an off shoot of the Black Movement.Their agenda is to remove funding for all law and order agencys and divert it to their 'nominated schemes'. They are regarded un officially as a terrorist organisation in security circles in the states and promote anarchy although I think you saw that here.

this is the fella who despatched a disarmed taliban fighter with some shakespeare words - "now frack off this mortal coil you foo head!", and since he was doing it on tape - there follows bamma lamma bamma bamma
that one ?
so the parallel is that he was unwise enough to do it on video ( "let us move out of the range of the UGLY = they have cameras"). And unlike Chauvin seemd to know the consequences of shooting someone.
I thought he was lucky to get away with manslaughter
and yes there were war crime trials in 1946 from the Dunkirk disaster - Le Paradis and Wormhout
