I've got little else to be done during Lockdown so why not? The congregation gets all the bread and I get all the wine and it's official. Oh my God loves a sinner. hic

I am the light and the life and thro me there is everlasint life
seems like a good tag line - communicating in one kind did have a vogue ( roman church) as it was thought that the wine spread the plague ( twelfth cent)
and the Eucharist as a grand poss up
St. Paul later chides the Corinthians for becoming drunk on wine served at their attempted celebrations of the Eucharist.
1 Corinthians 10-20
same book where you will find Churchill - Hosea - sow the wind and reap the tempest
or as Churchill put it: you sow the wind and I will send bombers back which will kill you and fry all your little children
oh and you have to give up fornication

o god Dom Bendan Lavery known to the boys as
Fr Brengun Lavatry - he seems to have known this by the way
heard a confession
I swore at an old man wed - - yes yes my child
I took a penknife into school - yes yes
I murdered my grandmother - - yes child I wish I cd
and sipped communion wine .....
and the good Benedictine ( Benedictine wine geddit) sprung out of his side of the confessional, went round and boxed the child's ears!
I had an education different to all else on AB - Bible in Greek, grand silence - no sipping communion wine - awful it was
J K Rowling had it smoove
( no one is gonna read this are they)

Bazile not traditionally. My recall is that traditionally its red and sweet rather like the wine used by Jews for their religious purposes. Of late some churches have gone over to fruit juice in order to allow people with an alcohol abuse problem to receive Communion. Alcohol free wine would not be so helpful because the taste can be a trigger.
