I thought that happened in some RC churches anyway? Also I have seen communion wine being ?dispensed ?served ?offered ready poured into separate plastic pots like booze samples in supermarkets?

Bazile not traditionally. My recall is that traditionally its red and sweet rather like the wine used by Jews for their religious purposes. Of late some churches have gone over to fruit juice in order to allow people with an alcohol abuse problem to receive Communion. Alcohol free wine would not be so helpful because the taste can be a trigger.
