Roddy Frame is incredibly talented, yet all most people seem to know (or want to play) is Somewhere In My Heart. It's an OK song, but pretty average in the context of the rest of his oeuvre.
You're not wrong about Roddy Frame Jim, vastly underrated songwriter, one of a few from that era that spring to mind (Paddy McAloon, Paul Buchanan, Edwin Collins)
I guess you're right Jim. Roddy might be rated critically, you'd never see him in a public voted list of best singer/songwriters. I guess that makes him publicly underappreciated. We both agree that he should be better, and more widely known than he is as a solo artist.
