Well let me help him, lockdown meant no cars on road = less accidents, no work = less accidents at work, pubs closed = less drunks, less fights,less druggies, no football= less fights, less drunks. May be he will need an enquiry to help him understand.

Answer: To prevent it happening a second time.
I can understand the Government being embarrassed by their failings and not wanting any scrutiny of their mistakes, but I don’t know why the likes of tora and dannyk13 are happy to accept (possibly) excess deaths in the UK.
