You are right retrocop,
But I have an 80 year old wife with me,
They intend to slow one down some,
Plane arrives late at night all buses stopped.
I think I would sooner pay a taxi. I didn't like Heraklion. That ancient building site nearby put me off.

We were ripped off 2 years ago ,
Wife booked and paid for airbnb in Heraklion
Only to be told by taxi driver address didn’t exist
Seems it was a scam going around for a while
Question Author
140k Heraklion to chania,
200 Euro
That's a lot of Euros! I do hope you get your refund OK. We were kept waiting until our departure date by cottages.com, but, fair enough they then started talking and we received a full refund. With my half of it I've just bought a couple of Owen Bowen paintings (I collect him when I have any spare cash and right now galleries are taking offers) they should arrive next week, so it feels like a fair swap for a holiday. Good luck!

Since telling friends and family about our cancelled flights I have been getting some mixed reactions,
From are you sure?
Don’t understand it,
Check again you maybe got it wrong,
I have now read that Tui have doubled their fares for next year bookings for anyone accepting vouchers for cancelled flights,
Maybe Ryanair have something similar in mind.
// I have now read that Tui have doubled their fares for next year bookings //

that's just the law of supply and demand. if there are fewer flights, and aircraft are required to carry fewer passengers, then those seats that are available are going to be more expensive. how could they not be? airlines are businesses and must make money to survive.

This is an update on my post regarding refund,
An email from Ryanair,
Accept a voucher or wait for your £412
So hopkirk your hat is safe

As I will not be flying with them again I will wait,
I expect they’ve spent your £412 on whisky and wild women.

It doesn’t matter what they’ve done with it. It’s your money, not theirs.
