The first episode wasn't recorded, so we'll probably never know whether he mentioned the time at all. (No, those "illustrative" clips on all those documentaries were NOT from the first show! I suspect someone's set this quiz question under the assumption that they were.)

Maybe it was "it's Number one it's Top of the Pops".

Whether that was in the first show I wouldn't know.
