Detective Sergeant Carter is seen searching the room of one if the bad guys
He picks up the hat of the guy and feels
something in the lining , which turned out to be a wad of cash

He puts the cash in his pocket
Nothing is said about this cash in the remainder of the episode- he is not seen telling Reegan about it or seen.handing it in

Does anyone know if there is any storyline around this in future episodes of the Sweeney
Was Carter shown to be bent ?

I suppose back in those days taking cash wasn't seen as bent!

"Was Carter shown to be bent ?". He was in the Flying Squad. They were pretty much all bent, which is why it was shut down.
