Yes but i think its the right time
could have ended months ago, all the figures are available anyway.
I agree that they could have ended earlier but the timing isn't exactly well thought out, imho. Alongside the easing of the 2m rule and the re-opening of several establishments, won't this just have some of the nation's less, erm, clued up citizens believing that all is back to normal?
As long as there is easy access to clear and regularly updated information then I'm happy with them stopping.
I only watched about 3. Found them too depressing and repetetive.
As you referred to the 2m as a “rule” Ken, would you include yourself in being one of the less clues-up citizens?
Switched on at 4-30 , then Chase at 5, no, I won’t miss them, any information will be on my phone although I won’t be checking daily death rate, that’s a bit macabre for me
Oh no! I was becoming red hot at learning how to answer questions and droning on for ages without any real content included, and avoiding a direct answer. :0( I will just have to continue to drone on, on here.
I think they seemed a good idea at the time, when this was all new and terrifying.

The simple fact is, people will adapt to anything and everything if you give them enough time.

Eventually, Covid will be seen like flu is now - nasty, but something society has learned to live with.
No, I never watched one of them!
Will there be a sequel . Downing Street revisited ? Would I lie to you Nah .?Last of the summer wind up . Boris and Matt do broadway .
I gave up watching them a long time ago. All too miserable.
Good.
A sign we can get back to normality.
A hapless government minister doing a lot of charts followed by grainy journalists and members of the public asking anything but the questions you’d like asked.
I did watch occasionally
Good , one less distraction , from the important matter of the BLM 'discussion '
Deskdiary; to answer your question; I am fully aware that the distance between one another, socially, is a guideline. But i chose to use the media-speak term '2m rule' so that even people like you could understand what i was saying. Appears it worked. Thank me later.
A pity.
It was good to see the press asking questions.
i stopped watching them ages ago.
I have never watched a single one, stopped listening to the news back in February, much to depressing and dismal, was just upsetting me.
