You can go to http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ and click on the top right to download latest version. After its installed you can select Cleaner on the top left and run that and then select issues and run that too. click yes for the backup option. Too many pics and music is unlikely to be a problem and the crap is always "self induced". If you decide to use crap cleaner and have and questions bout it, just come back to this post and ill try to help you. The crap cleaner will certainly help you.
I hate to be the scaremonger but if you've ever bought anything online or used internet banking then there will be traces of your personal details on your hard drive.
There are ways to get rid of this but they're quite technical, involve a fair bit of effort on your part and it's 1am so I'll not try to outline any of that right now.

Worth noting that if you are intending passing your PC on to your mate, then the install of Windows you have on it should be uninstalled to remain completely legal. You are licensed to use that copy of Windows, but your mate isn't and the license is not officially transferrable. Have you both read the Microsoft 'End User License Agreement' ? If this then becomes your mate's PC he will need an operating system, and he might choose to buy a Microsoft license or use one of the may alternatives. The copy of Windows will remain licensed to you, and so you will be able to install on it any other PC you have (one other, not many).
As regards the gaming aspect, your RAM as stated at 480MB indicates that the motherboard has onboard graphics to which a small amount (32MB) has been allocated, rather than a separate graphics card. This would mean that it is largely unsuitable for playing graphics-intensive games unless you add a decent-sized card, assuming the motherboard is fitted with an AGP slot.
