If anyone watched Glastonbury last night on BBC2, early, who was the female singer, dressed in T-shirt, jeans and long flowing open garment, singing "The Time is Now" - I can't think of anything else to help, except she was before Janelle Monae and before The Boss and Adele, etc, etc, and oh, there were other musicians behind her and she got "sing back" from the crowd - I'm sorry I can't be of any more help, but I think the song was The Time is Now!...go to it ABersI know you'll come through, as ever!

Moloko had a hit with that but I doubt they'd be on such a compilation
Moloko
I'd forgotten they were on in 2000
Here's the full set.

The Time is Now was there biggest song I recall. (Bring it back were the lyrics)
The singer is Róisín Murphy.

This is the song at Glastonbury. Yes, Roisin Murphy was the singer in Moloko
Now I think of it bring it back/sing it back was a different song from around the same time
The song, "Sing It Back" was their biggest single in the UK.

I’m loving the reruns of Glasto! Tonight we have some of the ‘golden oldies’ followed by Bowie and Ed Sheeran

Er, Balloon, when I said sing back, I meant when a singer shuts up and the crowds respond with the song!...unless you knew that, of course!...smile.
