Special Instructions For Early Guardian Genius Crosswords
2 Answers
I set myself a Lockdown Challenge to go through all the old Guardian Genius crosswords. Unfortunately, the webpage doesn't include the special instructions for the early puzzles. Amazingly, have still managed to solve many of them but desperate to find out if there is any way to get the special instructions? Any or all of them, but esp for Genius puzzles number 10, 25, 29, 30, 34 and 35. Would be so grateful if anyone out there can help

We are doing the same thing, and, like you, have managed without special instructions until number 10! we found a reference to them mentioned in a later puzzle:
"the 28 solutions are divided into four groups of seven, each member of the group beginning with the same letter. all 28 definitions are normal and positioned with the correct clue number, but the cryptic parts of the clues have been swapped around. the cryptic part for any definition will always be found in a clue whose solution begins with the same letter, though these ignore the initial letter of the solution."
Good luck!
