Getting bored with same old same old , but quite surprised when looking at my iPad to find I was still signed in, so is this how people can have more than one account on here?

Do you mean just logged out? If so that's nothing to do with having another account. I could be signed in on my laptop at home and at work but not on my phone or tablet. Just depends. To have another account I believe you need a different email and name obviously.
no, presuming you mean you signed out of this website, if you'dve posted on here on your IPAD it would have come up as bobbisox1 posting
No, because you'll still be Bobbisox1 on both.

I thought by signing out , that was it, I was signed out, is it a different IP address ?
Anyone can have more than one account here (even though it's frowned upon), simply by registering under different usernames (with different email addresses). If you use more than one web browser (such as having Firefox and Chrome running simultaneously on a PC), you can easily switch from using one account to another. (e.g. you could submit a trolling post with one username and then immediately respond to it, apparently as a completely different user, by swithcing to the other browser/username).

When looking to see whether a site user is logged in or not, AB's server looks for a cookie on that user's web browser. When you logged out on your PC the log-in cookie will automatically have expired but there was still an active log-in cookie on your iPad browser, meaning that any traffic coming from there was seen as 'logged in' by AB's server.

All very clever stuff Chris, couldn’t be messed on having more than one account , I’d probably forget lol
People sometimes do just that and get in muddle.
Question Author
I’m sure they do ML , not here tho :0)
Are you leaving us Bobbi?
Question Author
Hell Noooo ILM , just was getting bored with a certain fella stalking my threads etc, I’m going nowhere that’s why I’m not U_I , if I see something interesting then I’ll take part in it
Good, I always look for your threads. Ignore the stalker.
Logging out on its own does nothing. It just means you have to enter your ID and password when you want to log in again.
Question Author
More bored than bothered ILM so definitely no flounce form in my postbox haha
Question Author
Yes JD , I knew that but I naively thought by me logging out....I’d logged out , if you get me drift haha
I’ve never had a stalker :-(
I've got loads of them!
Bobbie tell me whose stalking you pet -I'll clatter them :-)
Question Author
Haha,” clatter them” that’s so funny, I’m not bothered about being followed, I should be well used to it by now, just gets a bit boring after a while and I’ve been doing other stuff , I felt I was spending too much time on here so I did a few more pages of the book I’m writing, Ive had a few good ideas from here ( winks) changed names of courses :0)
