The latest Laptops come with an inbuilt battery. Particularly the top end spec ones. The reason is that it means that the lappies can be built slimmer and more compact and of course the life of the latest batteries far exceeds the life of the old technology fat batteries. I have a Microsoft surface pro which is a super bit of kit but I take just a few precautions. I do not let it get hot or overheated. I do not let it discharge less than 20% if I can help it. I keep the battery charged above 70% even though it is not in use when at all possible and advise that there is no such thing as charging them up too much.
The battery will be removable, it just won't be easily accessible via a panel which you slide open.
I had to have my battery replaced last week and it was an inbuilt one. If you know what you're doing, t's simple .... so I took mine to the repair shop :P
