You can have a wedding, but not with more than 30 people attending, including catering staff. But you can have 250 people crammed onto a plane for 2/3 hours to fly away on holiday, and another 2/3 hours return. With those sort of rules in place we will all be back in lockdown.

The only reason the likes of Spain and such want the Brits back is because their booze sales are on the floor, other than that the Spanish couldn't care two hoots what happens to them when they get back home, that will be down to the NHS, ( again).

They most certainly have. But I agree, the crisis has brought out an army of "jobsworths" in all manner of areas. Many of them are busy either imposing "guidance to be followed where possible" as law or imposing ridiculous schemes which make little or no sense.

I wonder how they would react if the customer refused to take the goods because the cashier had handled your goods. :0))))))))

There are comparatively few aircraft passengers arriving in the UK at present, but there are still plenty of new cases each day.

The one big mistake shopping centres are making is closing toilets, and changing rooms. There are many folk who go out window shopping/ go out for an hour or two, but won't if they know there's no access to toilets, window shopping can result in impulse buying. Closed changing / fitting rooms can result in no sales, simply because people don't want the hassle of returning items, more travel cost, and more parking fees just to return goods.
