which will come with a 1 year warranty presumably, should i take out extra insurance with PC World for this time. What does a 1 year warranty mean in real terms for example if it goes wrong within the year do they simply replace it. Any help would be most welcome

Bednobs...my friend has just had hers cleaned £130.
I'm thankful I have a pyrolytic oven. I just have to sweep it after the clean.

seeing as i haven't had a new computer since 2007,
will i have to install a browser, perhaps its a stupid question, but once the new laptop arrives later today, i need to know, if so which one...firefox, chrome..
Question Author
or does it come already installed. I am not the brightest spark where computers are concerned.
i'm guessing it will have edge browser preinstalled
It will come with Edge (I very much like this latest version of Edge) but just download your favourite browser. Which one do you use now?
Question Author
firefox but i have loads of problems with it..
See how you get on with Edge. I also like Opera. Firefox might be trouble free on your new laptop so try that, too. I probably have 15 or more browsers installed on my PC as I like to try them out.

having to use old laptop for the minute, can't remember some saved passwords, . so not happy bunny currently.
can't log into online banking with new laptop.
as i can't remember the passcode. very frustrating..
Does your laptop not store a list of your passwords? If not log in to your account and use “forgotten password” option. Keep a list of all your passwords somewhere safe in case you lose your data
If your using Firefox, you can view your saved log-ins, write them down and use them on the new laptop.
Always keep a written record of all your IDs and passwords. This may seem old-fashioned but pen and paper still have their uses.
Question Author
got this to work, its strange and new.
now if anyone can tell me the AdBlock that was used
Ad Block Plus. I told you how to download and install it from Google yesterday.
emmie, i use firefox and have an account with them, i sync my favourite websites urls etc, and it remembers my logins, so i never have to put in passwords again, just a thought or next time.
sorry i should have added, once you have firefx setup, to sync, remember the password for the firefox account, writes it down.
then when you have a new laptop, reinstall firefox, go to account, sighn back in, then all you favourites are back, with all the login details.
