Face Shield.
38 Answers
I just cannot get on with the face masks I've bought. They make my face feel really hot and I feel I can't breathe. A neighbour has suggested I buy a face shield like these from ebay, but do you still have to wear a mask as well? Have any of you bought one? https:/ /www.eb ay.co.u k/itm/2 -X-Full -Face-C overing -Visor- Mask-Sh ield-Pr otectio n-Reusa ble-Spl ash-Gua rd-Safe ty/1334 0745988 2?hash= item1f0 fb44a2a :g:Gb0A AOSwKUd fACz5

I’ve found the pale blue disposable ones are far less claustrophobic than any others. I’ve only worn one once, and that was to get my hair cut on Saturday morning.

woofgang I have a week before I go for a scan at the hospital and I'm dreading I will have to wear it as soon as I step in through the doors, down the corridors sitting in a waiting room, lying flat on the scanner ( I can't even imagine that!) and obviously walking out again. I'm worried I might just cry and show myself up.
Barsel, I can understand your dread = what I'd recommend is every day until your appointment wear a mask around the house for a while, control your breathing and stay as calm as you can.
Each day try if you can to go a little longer.
As regards getting upset at the Hospital, that won't be showing yourself up and the staff will understand and hopefully comfort and calm you.
