I've got a mild case of athlete's foot between two of my toes, but I don't want to shell out for a cream or anything like that.  Is there an old natural remedy that I can use on my feet or something like that?  Something that I can use around the house to get rid of my athlete's foot?  thankyou.

tea tree oil in a bowl of water to bathe feet would help..also i dont know what you have got in your garden but if you have some comfrey soak it in boiling water for a hour or so and then strain and bathe your feet..my husband had it once and i cured his with comfrey and mint ointment that i made myself..after bathing your feet you could then dry them and wipe with witch hazel..then put some unscented talc on..you could also break open a vitamin e capsule dilute it in a small amount of water and wipe that over your feet...have you got any marigolds in the garden?? not the french ones the calendula pot marigold if so you can make an infusion of them also to wipe and bathe feet with..if you tell me what you have at hand i could help you even more..if you have an aloe vera plant break a leaf and use the juice to wipe your feet..
oxeyedaisy has given you plenty crowdpleaser.  I'd like to add that it is important to keep your inbetween toes area absolutely dry. Frequent bathing and drying while it is bad, and another thing we used to use, which dries it out is common old meths.  If you find, like I do, that you easily pick it up after walking on 'public' floors in bare feet, then don't because you can also get it on the bottom of the feet and that is much harder to get rid of.
I know this sounds nasty - but when I had athletes foot my dog used to go mad to lick my feet, and it cleared up quicker than with creams.
Must be something to do with the natural antibiotics / antiseptics in their saliva.
like the natural remedy silly moo, but did your dog end up with athlete's tongue?

bathe your feet in the ocean - failing that, very salty hot water..... over a few days...

But a paddle in the ocean is the best cure (good for exfoliating the feet too!!)!!

My doctor said that I was completely unfit, but at least my feet were athletic. LOL :o)
Sand it off with some rough emery board. Rub very hard. Then go to casualty.

Use a small towel for your athelete's foot...and only use it for athlethe's foot...dont let anyone else use it... it can spread....problem is that the fungus that causes the AF likes to live in warm dark humid places...so inside your shoes would be a good place for it to linger.. wear cotton socks and sandals to let the air in at your feet...if you scratch it (and I know it is impossible not to sometimes)...wash your hands immediately..it is highly contagious.... change your socks daily ....but really would recomment the cream of powder....sprinkle the powder inside you shoes also.....should be gone in a week or so..... good luck..... as for meth spirits....its going to sting sssooooo much.......

If your problem is still mild, and there are no raw areas from scratching or rubbing, the meths shouldn't sting.
This may sound a strange one, but squaddies are told to pee on their own feet in the showers to keep athletes foot at bay. Don't know if it's true tho
