For such a long-standing friend yes I probably would - she may have meant to send it to someone else who's now not going to get one. I'd never forget your birthday as not only is it my daughter's but also my first husband's (who is not her father). Truly a day to remember :-)

Hi Bobbi, yes tell her, make a joke of it. It could be she's put your name on her calendar a month or two early or mixed you up with someone else. This happened to me -a very old (she's in her nineties) friend I've know for over 40 years came to see me bottle of wine in hand and a card with a cheery 'Happy Birthday! sorry I'm late!". I just laughed and said something like " bit early my birthday is (insert date) but I'll take the wine! She just laughed and said she must make a note or the correct day on her calendar -and I wasn't getting another bottle or card for my real birthday lol!
