//If the number infected remains constant at about 0.04% and you meet folk each day for a month, the probability of meeting an infected person during that time goes up to 1.35% or about 1 in 75.//
Depends how many you meet. If you meet one person (the same person) every day you would have to know how many he met between times. If he met nobody then the risk would not increase. All a bit "what iffy" really. However you judge it, the odds against encountering somebody infected with the virus are very long. The odds against them actually passing it to you are even longer and the chances of you being seriously affected by it are longer still. The country simply cannot continue with this strategy of trying to prevent spread. All it's doing is extending the period that restrictions have to be taken and extending the non-Covid damage that is occurring.
