I am trying to get a job in the royal mail, and when i have tried though the web sites and phone calls i have always seem to hit a brick wall i was wondering is another way i can try??

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I tried as a postman near me, i went all through the online sign up etc and i had the over the phone interview which isnt a very good judge of character is it, you could always write or goto your nearest post office and have a word with the postmaster, dont write a letter or it will never get there lol.
You will probably find that recruitment is quite slow and jobs are few and far apart. Royal Mail are really feeling the pinch at the moment (as my postman husband is always telling me). They may be taking on Christmas temps later in the year- that could be a good foot in the door. Contact your local sorting office manager.

And the reason these people are successful is because Royal Mail and other employers know that they will work for the minimum wage - no doubt meaning that the senior management will get a big juicy bonus at the end of the year.
