I have an appointment at my hospital for eye pressure tests every two hours from 8:45 am until 6:00 pm. Test takes about 10 minutes, too far to drive home.

Obviously can’t stay in the hospital.

Looking for innovative ideas please!!

It may be different in outpatient departments than in A&E but then not all Hospitals operate the same way - I know that when those in my group having pressure tests asked they were given the log in.
If you have a smartphone and some headphones, you could fill a day listening to Radio 4 programmes on the BBC Sounds app.

Quite apart from plays there are all sorts of other things. Try the series of podcasts "50 things that made the modern economy"
If you know there is no WiFi, you could download programmes in advance.

You could also download TV programmes to watch on iPlayer.
Hello zylaphone (and Reggie ♥). Not sure if the pressure tests may include any drops in the hospial's investigation but I would be very wary of driving myself. Drops can affect the eyesight making driving a no-go. It will be a long day for you, no doubt. I hope that you get good results, take care.

Thanks to everyone for suggestions all very helpful, particularly about WiFi. Choux - have been told I won’t be having eye drops, I know about them so wouldn’t drive, thanks anyway
