Only better!
Lots of my mates had similar machines. We were always getting stopped. I doubt a week went by without most of us being pulled somewhere or other. It was no bother. Always had my documents with me. Thing was, lots of scooters got nicked. They had very little in the way of security - just a key to undo the steering lock (which you could break by forcing the handlebars anyway) and the same lock also completed the ignition circuit (which you could bypass with a piece of wire and two crocodile clips). The police used to intercept lots of stolen bikes and in a way we didn't mind being stopped. But we were stopped because we were young, wearing parkas and all the garb and were likely suspects. I loved my SX200 - until some bar steward nicked it!
Bit unfortunate that lots of black blokes get stopped. Most are not drug dealers but they fit the profile. I wasn't a thief, but unfortunately I fitted the profile too.
