Is it always safe to presume that gilets have multi pockets? When I look on, say for e.g. Amazon, they usually refer to the gilet's other benefits, but rarely mention pockets...and I do prefer having pockets - and of a decent size pocket too! Ta Muchly and Take Care All!
No, I don’t think you can assume that.
I have had a number of them over the years and none have had multiple pockets, just one either side and maybe an inside one.
Maybe a fishing type or outdoor sports type would have lots of pockets though.
Hi woodelf, it's difficult if you can't get anyone else to look for you. I have looked at men's gilets on amazon and some have multi-pockets but many only have the standard hand pocket either side and nothing else but they all use the word gilet in their description. Some of those with multi pockets include the word country as well but not all stating country have multi-pockets. Not easy.
Very Many Thanks Prudie and Vagus for your thoughts and research, especially Prudie if you've been into Amazon!...I'll have a look at Cotton Traders though.
Done what I should have done before, simply type in - multi pocket, sleeveless jacket - and am now taking a break from rummaging through the results on Amazon!...but Many Thanks Prudie and Vagus.
woodelf, did you want a lightweight gilet or one for added warmth?
I have found one retailer where most gilets are of the lighter category but they do have multi pockets and are extremely affordable with excellent reviews.
I have about 5 gilets. Three are what I call summer wear and the other two are padded winter wear. I also require plenty of pockets when out shooting on the ranges. The best gilets I have found for the price are made by Mil-Tec.
