People Can Be Kind During A Power Cut

My 84 year old brother, some may remember, had sepsis several years ago. He still has some lingering mobility issues connected with that...and other old age related problems. During last week's power cut, a new neighbour who's South American, ran a power cord from his generator across 2 houses, into my brothers bedroom...to power the air mattress for his hospital bed. Another Hispanic neighbour ran an extension into their kitchen for the refrigerator. No food wasted.
He's often mentioned that he and my SIL have good neighbours. I'm so glad they do. There should be more like that...we need to hear the good stories.

Our next door neighbour has lent us his ladders as we needed two sets of ladders on occasion and we've had them for a few weeks now. He told us to keep them as long as we need and drop them back when we've finished with them.
The Saturday street party which started during lockdown is still ongoing, although the numbers have dwindled.
