Dent At Bottom Left Hand Side Of Leg Near Ankle

The bottom of y left leg has become distorted and there is huge dent at the side of it. Does not hurt but the leg looks lost weeird. It’s quite big and looks horrible. I noticed it a few weeks ago bit it has got worse. Anyone any ideas, I am going to ring the Doctors in the morning.

Unsure what it could be, but if you've put up with it for a few weeks, you'll probably survive until the morning.

Try to keep both legs up.something under the mattress, like a suitcase so your lower body is elevated. No tight clothing especially sox. Can you show picture when you call doc.?

Get to the docs, gently insist on xray.

15 years ago I didn’t (insist that is). I ended up losing the leg.

Probably NOT that serious, but you MUST get it investigated.

If you press it, does it dent in other places? It could be water... for many reasons. Keep it elevated and keep drinking water and get it seen as soon as you can.

Can I suggest that you take a photo of it as I think the doctor might well ask you to email one.

The dent is there all the time and yes I think it could be Edema, my leg looks distorted because of it. I have taken some pictures and will contact the Doctors in the morning. Our Doctors are now seeing people so am hoping might get an appointment. Been there for a few weeks now and I just thought it would go as would rather keep away if I can because of COVID, but needs looking at as looks strange. Thanks for your comments, much appreciated

Nowhere near enough information about the swelling or your past and present medical history.
Sounds like unilateral oedema which is a sign and not a disease.
No big deal,just make a routine appt with your GP
