Does the quiz question say middle LINES or LINE? The 3 lines in the middle are:
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Maybe Victoria and Gloria- but I can't see who the characters are.
If it's just the middle line then maybe Sandy/Sandra and Victoria.
Hope this triggers some ideas.

Don't know if this helps, but 'God Save the King', which morphed into 'Queen' w and proved very popular and caught on. It was written and first performed in 1745 (after a theatrical performance - I think). This was just after 'Bonnie Prince Charlie' beat the English at Prestonpans.
The popular book series could just be 'Horrible Histories' (have addicted grandchildren) so middle lines could be 'Victoria and Gloriana', but it is all very strange. Good luck.
