This Year

We’re stopping giving Christmas presents to all but our five close family members, and they’ll get money sent via online banking,
Most of those (and there aren’t many)who we usually buy Christmas presents for we only see once a year anyway, to exchange gifts, which strikes me as ridiculous and we’ve been wondering how to stop it without causing offence, although I’m sure the recipients will be as relieved as we are to put a stop to it.
This year it’ll be because of COVID, social distancing, elderly people, compromised immune systems, etc, etc.
Relieved to have finally made the decision :)

No ladybirder, we’ve told them not to bother at all. We don’t need anything and I’d rather the money stayed in their pockets.
We’ve been doing similar about Christmas cards Bobbi, I send six, well, five this year as one has died, and only to elderly relatives. The money goes to the local cancer hospital instead.
